Okinawa Photography Locations – Kristi James

Okinawa Photography Locations

Have you booked a photography session and then couldn’t decide on what Okinawa photography locations were the best fit for your family and your vision? I am here to help you choose the best location for you! And these don’t just apply to family sessions. They can apply to maternity, couples, children and family photography sessions. There are several questions you will want to ask yourself;

1. What do I envision for my family photographs?
Do you envision your family walking along the beach at sunset? Do you envision your family playing during the day in the blue waters of the Okinawa photography locations? If so, the Okinawa beaches might be a great location for your shoot.
Do you envision a castle in the background of your family playing and snuggling? Or do you envision tall grass and playing around and snuggling on a blanket? What about a stream in your photos?

Are you thinking that something in the Japanese culture may fit your needs the best? Do you want to take a little bit of the Okinawa photography locations with you to your next duty station? Maybe Murasaka Mura is a good choice for you? Or do you have a special Okinawa location that is special to you?

What fits your needs the best?

2. Do you have older children or toddlers and babies? The beach isn’t the best option for babies and toddlers that are at the putting things in their mouths stage, or if they are scared of the sand and water. If that is the case you may want to think about switching your location.
The castles and dam and other green locations are great for all ages! They have lots of room to run around and different options for backgrounds.

3. Do you prefer an early morning, mid-day or and evening sunset photography session? Choosing a time of day will also help you determine which location is best for you. If your children are early risers and happy first thing in the morning, then an early morning session at the beach or castle locations would be great! There are several locations that work for in the morning. The beach is a fantastic location for mid-day PLAY sessions. Mid-day isn’t recommended for a formal portrait session. Sunset sessions can also be at any of the mentioned locations.

Do you have favorite Okinawa photography locations? If you want you can let me know what your favorite spot is here.

    Candace Castor - These are so great tips on finding the right location for your session! There is so much more to Okinawa than just the beach, although the beach will always hold a special place in my heart!
