The other day I took some Adorable Family Portraits in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. I love how excited they were about doing some family photos. We set the date and we planned outfits! The wait for cold and snowy April to be over was a tad painful. We were so excited to meet and have a fun photo session!
Wardrobe
Little Peyton was dressed in an adorable pink dress with flowers on it. Mom’s shirt complimented it with a darker color and some pink flowers dashed on it. Dad’s shirt was the perfect pink to round it out.
Weather
The week of the family portrait session it was set to rain all week with only one day of no rain. We couldn’t switch the date, so we crossed all our fingers and toes and legs and arms that we would have a beautiful night after a day of rain. It was no kidding still raining an hour before the session. The clouds cleared, the sun came out and we were able to have an absolutely stunning, evening portrait session.
New Guidelines
After a lot of thinking and learning the seasons here in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania I have decided to only offer limited family sessions. The weather is so unpredictable here and COLD that its difficult to plan and have back up dates for these sessions. I’ll be offering limited mini session during spring and fall. So from now on all family sessions will be mini sessions. I am able to photograph most families within the time of a mini session. It takes the pressure off the families of wondering whether the children will last that long or not.
