I have been waiting for this moment for a very long time. Waiting for Kristi James Photography Studio | Catawissa Portrait Studio. For years and years I’ve wanted to have my own studio outside of my home. I keep having posts on time hop pop up saying, ” I wish I had studio so the kids couldn’t destroy stuff” and other things relating to wishing I had a studio. I haven’t been able to because I knew we were moving every three years and it wasn’t worth it, or we lived in Japan and that just wasn’t possible for me to do in that country without jumping through rings of fire.

I am beyond excited to announce that there is now a Kristi James Photography Studio!!! We finally have our forever home and we have decided this is where we will stay once my husband retires. We love the area, the people, the environment. Its all just wonderful. So I decided it was time to open a storefront studio!
Searching
I searched all over Bloomsburg and came across a few wonderful spots, but they just didn’t sing my name. They were perfect and too much or they were just too much work to get to where I wanted my studio to be and look like. I had finally decided to give up and say forget it I’m done searching. Until one day I was driving down south to get our truck from a dealership and drove through cute little Catawissa and saw a For Rent sign on an adorable storefront building. I turned around and grabbed the phone number. I ended up sitting on the number for a while and decided to give them a call. I was expecting to be disappointed by the rent amount or that it was already rented out or something crazy.
HE SAID YES!
I called and talked to a very nice gentleman named Chris. He told me about the building a bit and then agreed to meet me there the next day. I traveled the 15 minutes from my home and as I walked in the building I was filled with joy and excitement. THIS, THIS RIGHT HERE is what I have been waiting for and wanting. I knew this was the one. I still wanted to go over everything before I said yes. I did and I got ahold of Chris with a few adjustments I wanted and HE SAID YES!!!! I was so excited. I knew that we would make a good landlord/tenant team. So far so good!
Moving
I moved in to the studio May 1 and got things set up and ready to go for clients!! I have to give a big thank you to my kids, my husband and my brother in law Blake. I couldn’t have done this without their help!! I am so excited to shoot all the things there. so don’t wait Book Your Session NOW!!!!
