Okinawa Birth Photography – Jude

Okinawa Birth Photography

I love offering Okinawa Birth Photography. This year has been a bit slower because at first we didn’t know whether we would be leaving the island or not before summer and we also decided as a family that I needed to take some time off of births. I did so many birth stories last year that I ended with a whopping 9 births, most of which were done while my husband was deployed. So it took a toll on the kids and me for that matter. I did miss things I didn’t want to miss and it broke my heart. However, I still love Okinawa Birth Photography.
Jude’s birth wasn’t one I had scheduled or planned for. A friend needed a backup photographer and I agreed and then she couldn’t make it and I was the one on call. I prayed he didn’t come on a day when I had the tons of sessions scheduled but knew he would come when he wanted. I was prepared and waited for that call.

BABY TIME

Okinawa Birth Photography is something you need to be ready to go and on-call 24/7 for about 4 weeks. Two weeks before and two weeks after an estimated due date. I got the call that Jude was coming!! Mama was at the hospital already and dilated quite a bit. Enough to make me rush up there. Things slowed just a bit when I got there, she had an epidural and was happy. During the downtime, I was able to chat and get to know the family. Grandpa was there to welcome his grandbaby into the world as well. This family was awesome. I had such a great time getting to know them. Such a fun and unique family with tons of AMAZING stories to tell about their lives. They kept me entertained with those amazing stories.

It was finally time to push. Everyone was so excited and jumping with anticipation. Mama pushed and pushed and pushed. She was working hard and doing such a great job. In the end mom, dad, and the doctors decided that a c-section was for the best. He came out screaming and dad and I switched in and out to see the baby in the OR. Daddy got some skin to skin while mommy finished up in surgery.I was able to come back the next day and take some more photos with mommy awake!! What an awesome family and this little boy is so lucky!!

I was able to see them a few weeks ago and I cannot believe how much Jude has grown!!! He is still ADORABLE!!! CONGRATS MOMMY AND DADDY!!!

If you are interested in a Fresh 48 or Birth session you can contact me here! Just keep in mind that I am only offering extremely limited bookings!
