January 1, 2018 | Day 1
Day 1 of the rest of this year! As I explained in my Year in Review this past year as a lifestyle portrait photographer has had its share of ups and downs.
Whenever I get in a funk or want to do something fun I start a 30-day photo challenge! Sometimes I go by a predetermined list and sometimes I just shoot whatever I want.
Just Shoot
I have chosen to just shoot this time around. I need to rediscover my full happiness and potential. I want to be fulfilled completely again.
I have all the confidence that this will definitely help! This past year, due to the move I have had to start a part-time job during the week to help supplement our income.
While I am extremely blessed to have this pretty amazing job, I still can’t help but yearn for my photography business to be full time. Doing my lifestyle portrait photography thing helps me to fill that void.
My new job is so flexible and challenging and sucks some days. I have an amazing and understanding boss that I feel like I couldn’t have gotten a better boss. He is a truly great guy and I’m blessed that he found me and that we knew we were meant to work together and improve each other’s lives. So it’s not necessarily a bad thing for me.
Finding My Soul
While I am blessed to have my part-time job, my soul NEEDS photography. It NEEDS my clients, whom I love interacting with and truly enjoy getting to know.
I love creating art for each person and family and showing them how amazing they are. I need all my clients in my life to make me happy!!!
So here is hopefully a start to an amazing 2018 with amazing clients and finding my soul again as a lifestyle portrait photographer
