This was a NEPA studio newborn photography session to remember!
Mama had scheduled early and was so excited about our session together. I was so excited as well. The day finally arrived to do the session and I’m pretty sure that day the session wasn’t meant to happen. It started off by them getting stuck in traffic and being almost an hour late. Gotta love the traffic in the morning here. As a NEPA studio newborn photography, I expect parents to be occasionally late. It happens.
Once they arrived we fed Edison and got him all ready for the session. He had fallen asleep and I went to turn my light on and do a few test shots before we got started. My light wouldn’t fire. As a NEPA studio newborn photography, I had never had this problem ever before. It was safe to say I was embarrassed and sad and didn’t know what to do. I troubleshot for a while and didn’t get it to work.
We then decided to take the studio out to the living room where there was natural light. At this point, Edison was starting to get restless. We managed to get a few family shots and parent shots before he fully woke up.
Mom fed him and tried to get him back to sleep. I set up the next cute little blue bunny shot while she was soothing him. He never did get back to sleep. At that point, we decided to call it a day and start over new the next day. We all agreed that was the best decision ever.
Back up and going!
I had my light back up and going the next day and we were all ready to go. We planned to do the cute light blue bunny set up and a few neutral-colored setups ready to go. While he wasn’t completely settled at first we got him to sleep and ended up with a gorgeous gallery. Big brother Grant joined us and was adorable!
