So many posts from photographers are addressed to clients and as I sit here today I had to write this one to you. I more than anyone I know appreciate your work. Once upon a time I was one of those mothers who never considered a personal photographer because “they were too overpriced” and not within my means. That was until the day I took the time to turn my head and glance at photographs that were positioned on a table. Just a few photographs that literally moved me, spoke to me, and encouraged me to book a session with you.
Yes, the price of the session crossed my mind only after I inquired about your services but the deed was done. I was interested and had to follow through. The excitement for our first session was nerve wrecking… Waiting for you to show me your finished product was exciting. I would have never imagined that one glance would have turned into not one but just about 7 sessions from our family session, to our dedication, to our oldest daughter’s back to school mini, my maternity session, our AMAZING newborn shoot, my courageous boudoir, and my latest “Mommy & Me” session, with more to come.
Some would say why? Why spend the money? Why bother? And to those individuals questioning the decision I say, “It is a must!” Professional photographers do not simply get behind a camera and snap shots. They put their love, their expertise, and their time into producing timeless photographs that supersede cost… These sessions are worth the money, worth the budgeting, and saving for. They are images remain timeless and for the cost that so many (just as I myself was one of those people) are willing so spend on “generic” photographs because they are more “cost effective”. The price of a personal photographer is minute compared to the work and love they put into their images.
It is all about the images produced, the love, and the care that a personal photographer affords. It is an experience that yields images that last a lifetime of lifetimes.
Every penny I spend does not do justice to the joy my husband, my children, and I feel every time we look at an image that you have graced us with. This is our THANK YOU to you! We have become life long friends and I will forever respect your business and work.
So in short for those of you who find yourself in the position I was once in… Think about the importance of the images you desire and keep in mind that the moments that pass will never repeat themselves and if you want images that are truly worth the hard earned money you have to spend book a session with a personal photographer!
