WHEN?
Central, Utah family sessions are best booked at least 4-6 weeks in advance! This gives you time to prepare your outfits and your partner. I book up quickly and only accept a limited number of family sessions a month.
WHERE?
Anywhere in Sanpete and Sevier Counties, and their surrounding areas are full of beautiful scenery. You can choose the mountains, a field, or your home. Really, though, this place is beautiful all over! I can help you choose if you can’t think of anywhere you want.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
My Sanpete & Sevier County family sessions are a fun and happy experience. I don’t want you to be frustrated or stressed out about it. Letting the kids be kids makes a world of difference. We start with a few posed shots with everyone looking. You know that photo that all grandparents want hanging on their wall. Then I will direct you on how and where to stand, but I let you be you. I let you giggle, cuddle, play, and enjoy your family, and I really want you to focus on how much you love and adore your family. We want to see that love shine through in your photos. I will play games with the kids, and I will have you play some games with them. You DO NOT have to look at me the whole time. In fact, I almost prefer you not look at me unless I ask. I want you to tickle and snuggle and truly feel and show the love between you and your loved ones. When I send your reminder email, I will include a Family Session Guide with all the details in it for you!
WHAT TO WEAR?
DO NOT WEAR MATCHING OUTFITS!! Phew, there… now that’s out of the way. Coordinating outfits are perfect! Choose one outfit and pick the others based on the colors in that outfit. Maroon, Mustard, blue, gray, brown, tan, and dark green are all amazing solid colors to go with. Or variations of blue, jean, and cream. Layers and textures look amazing in photographs. Don’t worry about just clothing, though. Those comfy old sneakers probably won’t look that great in photos. So be mindful of what shoes you wear. Also, be mindful of the weather! That cute dress or tank top may not be the best idea in the winter or fall. And that cute jean jacket… probably not a great idea during the summer. So be purposeful in choosing your outfits.
